Associate/Senior Associate - Investment Analysis - Venutre Capital

Role: Associate/Sr Associate (Venture Capital)

Designation: Analyst

Function: Deal Sourcing, Dilligence, Closure

Grade: D

Reporting To: Director, Investment

Responsibilities:

1. The core responsibility includes sourcing deals, doing business and financial research and diligence on startups that are raising capital, analyzing in depth their industry, competition, and creating a detailed research note.

2. Do in-depth industry research involving global and domestic industry data and mapping of the entire chain of participants

3. Performing due diligence, engaging with founders and liaison with the legal counsel in deal closure

4. Research on deals, trends, transactions in startup early stage ecosystem

5. Build a network of industry participants across industry coverage.

6. Writing update notes and reports

7. Doing industry networking across various industries where the fund has exposure.

8. Build a strong connect with portfolio company managements.

Experience: 2 to 4 years

Qualification:

- Post graduate or an equivalent professional degree (CFA pursuing preferred) with 2+ years of VC/Investment Banking experience.

- Hands on multi-tasker, self-directed, capable of working independently and as part of the team.

- Specific skills - industry research, primary (on ground) research.

- Excellent oral and writing skills (mandatory).

- Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential matters.

- Able to work independently and adaptable to work in demanding environment.

- Team player, perseverant, passionate about long term investing.

- PowerPoint and Excel expertise required.
