Role Overview

The firm is seeking a highly-driven Associate - Private Equity for the Buy Side, who will support the Lead in Public Market strategies and transactions. The role offers significant exposure to global PE transactions, high-level strategic decision-making, and the global investment process.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct deep-dive industry and company research for public market investments across geographies.

- Build and maintain complex financial models for equity investments, including valuation, scenario/sensitivity analysis, and benchmarking.

- Assist in screening, evaluating, and recommending investment opportunities aligned with the firm's investment thesis.

- Prepare investment memos, presentations, and periodic portfolio performance assessments for internal and external stakeholders.

- Support due diligence, deal execution, and transaction structuring processes in coordination with cross-border teams.

- Monitor portfolio companies, analyze financial reports, and provide actionable insights to senior management.

- Collaborate with counterparts in the US to share findings, manage data, and drive outcomes in a fast-paced, meritocratic environment.

Candidate Profile

Education:

- Undergraduate degree from a top IIT (Indian Institute of Technology)

- Postgraduate degree (MBA or equivalent) from IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, or Calcutta (IIM ABC)

Experience:

- 5-6 years of relevant work experience in private equity, investment banking, buy-side investment analysis, or equity research

- Demonstrated track record in financial modeling, investment evaluation, and transaction execution

Skills & Attributes:

- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills

- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and research tools

- Articulate communication skills-both written and verbal

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-border teams
