Role Overview

We are looking to hire an Associate to join the investment team of a mid-market focused private equity fund based in Gurgaon. The role offers hands-on exposure across the entire investment lifecycle, including deal sourcing, execution, portfolio management, and exits. This is an opportunity to work closely with senior investment professionals and gain meaningful responsibility early in the role.

Key Responsibilities

- Support end-to-end deal execution including financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and investment memos

- Build and maintain financial models (operating models, LBOs, scenario analysis)

- Conduct industry research, market mapping, and target identification

- Assist in deal sourcing through intermediaries, management interactions, and proprietary outreach

- Participate in management meetings, due diligence discussions, and transaction negotiations

- Support portfolio monitoring, performance tracking, and value-creation initiatives

- Assist senior team members on exit planning and execution

Candidate Profile

- 2-5 years of relevant experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking, M&A, Transaction Advisory

- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills

- Prior exposure to mid-market deals is highly preferred

- Ability to independently drive workstreams with attention to detail

- Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with senior stakeholders and management teams

- High ownership mindset, intellectually curious, and execution-oriented

Educational Background

- MBA from a top-tier institute or CA/CFA with relevant transaction experience

- Strong academic track record
