Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Associate Partner Transfer Pricing to lead complex transfer pricing and international tax engagements, drive business growth, and provide strategic advisory to large multinational and domestic clients. The role combines technical expertise, client leadership, business development, people management, and risk oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex transfer pricing and international tax engagements for large multinational and domestic clients.
- Advise clients on transfer pricing strategy, operating models, supply-chain restructuring, business restructuring, and cross-border transactions.
- Lead transfer pricing planning and implementation for complex and multi-jurisdictional arrangements.
- Advise on and manage Advance Pricing Agreements (APAs), Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAP), audits, assessments, and transfer pricing litigation.
- Provide strategic advice on transfer pricing implications of business models, intercompany transactions, and cross-border arrangements.
- Oversee preparation and review of transfer pricing documentation, including Master File, Local File, CbCR, benchmarking studies, and economic analyses.
- Monitor developments in Indian transfer pricing regulations, OECD guidelines, BEPS initiatives, and international tax regulations and advise clients on their implications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives, CFOs, tax heads, and other senior client stakeholders.
- Identify new business opportunities, develop client relationships, and contribute to revenue growth for the transfer pricing practice.
- Lead major proposals, pitches, client presentations, and solution development initiatives.
- Drive cross-selling opportunities across Transfer Pricing, International Tax, M&A Tax, and other advisory practices.
- Lead and mentor Senior Managers, Managers, and other tax professionals, building a high-performing team.
- Oversee multiple large engagements, ensuring quality, profitability, timely delivery, and adherence to professional and regulatory standards.
- Ensure effective risk management, quality control, independence, and compliance across engagements.
- Collaborate with international member firms and cross-border teams on global client engagements.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 12-20 years of overall experience, with 15+ years preferred, in Transfer Pricing and International Tax.
- Strong experience with a Big Four or leading professional services / tax advisory firm.
- Deep expertise in Indian Transfer Pricing regulations, OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines, and international tax principles.
- Strong experience with TP documentation, benchmarking, economic analysis, Master File, Local File, and CbCR.
- Proven experience handling TP assessments, audits, litigation, APAs, and MAP proceedings.
- Strong understanding of cross-border transactions, business restructuring, supply-chain models, and intercompany arrangements.
- Demonstrated track record in business development, client acquisition, proposal leadership, and revenue growth.
- Experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams and mentoring senior tax professionals.
- Excellent C-suite communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate complex tax matters into practical business recommendations.
