Month-End Closure & Reporting: - Ensure timely completion of month-end closing activities in adherence to internal deadlines - Prepare and book accurate accounting provisions and manage their monthly, quarterly and annual reversals - Review the GL balance, variance analysis for the trial balance items and oversee the accounting operations of the Company's operations in Kerala plants - Work in close coordination with internal departments across Kerala plants - Manage intercompany transactions and ensure accurate accounting between related entities 2. Tax Compliances (Direct & Indirect): - Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations to avoid penalties and any tax liabilities - Liaise with Central and State GST departments - Coordinate with Corporate Taxation, Legal and other teams on litigation and compliance matters for Kerala plants - Prepare and file monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) for the plant in a timely and accurate manner - Coordinate with external consultants for the preparation and submission of the Annual GST Return - Perform GST reconciliation for vendor accounts and handle vendor ledger clearing 3. Audit Coordination: - Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth and timely completion of audit requirements - Ensure prompt resolution and closure of audit observations to achieve audits without open points - Support tax audits by providing accurate documentation and financial data 4. Fixed Asset & Inventory Management: - CWIP monitoring, ageing analysis - Asset capitalization, retirement - Reconciliation and reporting - Fixed asset physical verification - Coordinate with relevant departments and provide support for various inventory verification processes in accordance with the guidelines and norms - Maintain accurate asset records to support better control, audit readiness, and statutory compliance. 5. Banking & Payment: - Manage day-to-day banking operations for company accounts operated in Kerala plant - Ensure timely processing and disbursement of statutory payments from the plant - Oversee fund management, online/offline payments, fixed deposits and bank reconciliations - Handle issuance and management of bank guarantees for all India locations related to the company - Coordinate with internal departments and external banking partners to ensure smooth operations 6. Export-Import & Customs Compliance: - Possess sound knowledge of customs formalities related to export and import activities - Ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements in coordination with logistics and relevant authorities 7. Other Activities: - Ensure MSME compliance in accordance with applicable statutory norms and timelines - Manage employee reimbursement processes through platforms such as the Concur Portal and ensure compliance through regular updates on systems like Lease Portal etc Coordinate critical plant-level regulatory activities, including: - Duty-free movement permissions - Bond registration and cancellation - E-way bill compliance - Godown additions on the GST portal and corresponding updates in warehouse insurance policies - Involvement in negotiation and administration of various insurance policies and claim settlement process applicable at the plant
