Associate - Financial Modeling & Corporate Finance - Investment Banking

Position: Associate - Financial Modeling & Corporate Finance (Investment Banking Background)

Location: Central Africa

Experience: 3- 7 years of experience in Investment Banking / Financial Advisory / Consulting firms

Qualification: CA / MBA Finance / CFA (preferred)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a strong Financial Modelling professional with prior experience in investment banking / advisory firms, combined with hands-on exposure to project finance and corporate finance. The role will support strategic decision-making, deal evaluation, and financial analysis across infrastructure/energy/mining/manufacturing/ EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain advanced financial models (project finance, valuation, scenario analysis)

- Perform valuation ( DCF, comps, precedent transactions, NAV )

- Preferred experience in financial modelling and analysis within investment banking.

- Mandatory experience in Investment Banking / Transaction Advisory / Corporate Finance environment

- Candidates with prior exposure to investment banking deals, fund raising, M&A, or structured finance will be highly preferred

- Support investment analysis, due diligence, and feasibility studies

- Prepare investment memos, board presentations, and financial reports

- Monitor portfolio performance and support forecasting & planning

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for data validation and assumptions

- Strong Excel and financial modelling capability (mandatory)

- Exposure to project finance, infrastructure, or mining preferred

- Strong analytical, communication, and multi-project handling skills

- Willingness to relocate and work in Africa (DR Congo)

Key Requirements:

- Strong expertise in Financial Modelling and Valuation

- Hands-on experience in Project Finance + Corporate Finance

- Advanced Excel skills (mandatory)

Experience in infrastructure/energy/mining/manufacturing/ EPC sector preferred
