Job Title: Finance/Senior Finance Analyst Location: Mumbai, India Reporting To: Asst Finance Manager, India About the Role We are looking for a proactive and analytical Finance/Senior Finance Analyst to join the India Finance team. This role provides dedicated finance support to the Licensing and Publishing lines of business within Disney Consumer Products (DCP) for the Southeast Asia cluster, with a specific focus on the India market. Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager for India, the analyst will play a crucial role in supporting key financial activities including Planning, Forecasting, and Period-end Closing deliverables. The position requires strong data handling, report generation skills, and the ability to provide insightful financial analysis to support business decisions. This is a one-year contractual position based in Mumbai, and we are seeking candidates available for immediate joining. Key Responsibilities The key areas of responsibility for this role include: - Assist in the preparation and consolidation of Annual Budgets and Quarterly Forecast P&Ls for the India Licensing and Publishing businesses. - Support the preparation of Quarterly and Year-end Close reports for the India market. - Collaborate closely with the Commercial team to collate necessary information for revenue accruals, forecasts, and budgets. - Ensure accurate and timely input of budget and forecast data into internal planning systems. - Assist in the preparation of reporting templates and presentation decks for budget, forecast, and other business review meetings. - Conduct detailed analyses of business performance by tracking revenue and expenses against budgets and forecasts. - Provide clear and concise variance explanations for deviations in financial performance. - Support the business teams by providing financial information and analysis to aid in deal evaluation and negotiation. - Work in conjunction with the Contracts Administration team to ensure financial terms are accurately reflected and facilitate timely contract execution. - Facilitate quarterly financial closing processes by coordinating with the Accounting Shared Services Team. - Assist in the preparation of quarterly reports and schedules required for submission to Regional and other relevant teams. - Support other month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks as required to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. - Provide support for ad-hoc analyses of financial data as requested by the finance or business teams. - Undertake other project work and tasks as assigned to support the finance function and business initiatives. Skills Required - Strong Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial principles, reporting, and analysis. - Effective Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with finance and non-finance stakeholders. - Teamwork & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team environment and collaborate with various departments. - Data Analytics: Proficiency in data modelling and visualization to derive insights from financial data. - Adaptive Mindset & Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to learn new processes, systems, and adapt to changing business needs. Experience & Professional Qualifications - Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a finance or accounting role. - A relevant qualification in Finance or Accounting (e.g., master's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field). - Experience working in a multinational corporation (MNC) is preferred. - Exposure to financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, period-end closing processes, or account reconciliation tasks. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills) and Microsoft PowerPoint is required. - Knowledge of SAP or Cognos systems is a plus.
