Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced Transfer Pricing professional to lead complex client engagements, provide strategic advisory on international taxation and transfer pricing matters, and drive business growth within the practice. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in transfer pricing regulations, cross-border transactions, transfer pricing documentation, audit defense, and multinational tax structures.
The role requires strong client-facing capabilities, leadership experience, and the ability to manage high-value engagements while mentoring and developing teams.
Key Responsibilities :
Client Advisory & Transfer Pricing Strategy:
- Advise multinational corporations on transfer pricing policies, cross-border transactions, operating models, and value chain optimization.
- Design and implement transfer pricing strategies aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance on intercompany pricing arrangements, supply chain restructuring, and international tax considerations.
- Support clients in managing transfer pricing risks and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Transfer Pricing Compliance & Documentation:
- Lead the preparation and review of transfer pricing documentation, including:
1. Local Files
2. Master Files
3. Country-by-Country (CbC) Reporting
4. Economic Benchmarking Studies
5. Intercompany Agreements
- Ensure compliance with Indian Transfer Pricing regulations, OECD guidelines, and global reporting requirements.
- Review complex transfer pricing analyses and provide technical recommendations.
Audit, Litigation & Regulatory Support:
- Lead transfer pricing audit defense and assessment proceedings before tax authorities.
- Prepare technical submissions, responses, and supporting documentation for tax audits and investigations.
- Assist clients with dispute resolution, Advance Pricing Agreements (APAs), Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAPs), and litigation support.
- Monitor regulatory developments, judicial precedents, and emerging transfer pricing trends.
Practice Development & Business Growth:
- Identify opportunities for business development, client expansion, and cross-selling of tax and advisory services.
- Participate in proposal development, client pitches, and relationship-building initiatives.
- Contribute to revenue growth and practice expansion through strategic account management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, including CFOs, Tax Heads, and Finance Leaders.
Project & Engagement Management:
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while ensuring quality, profitability, and timely delivery.
- Oversee project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and engagement methodologies.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop Managers, Assistant Managers, and Associates within the transfer pricing practice.
- Conduct technical reviews, provide coaching, and support capability development initiatives.
- Drive knowledge-sharing sessions and foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Participate in recruitment, performance management, and succession planning activities.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 812 years of experience in Transfer Pricing, International Taxation, or Global Tax Advisory.
- Strong experience in a Big 4, multinational consulting firm, or leading tax advisory practice.
- Deep understanding of:
1. Indian Transfer Pricing Regulations
2. OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines
3. BEPS Framework
4. Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR)
5. Master File & Local File Compliance
6. Intercompany Transactions
7. Economic Benchmarking & Financial Analysis
- Experience handling transfer pricing audits, assessments, and litigation support.
- Strong project management and client relationship management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and commercial acumen.
- Proven ability to manage large teams and multiple client engagements.
Educational Qualifications:
- CA, MBA (Finance), Master's in Economics, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
- LLB, CS, CFA, or additional international tax qualifications will be an advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Experience advising multinational corporations on complex cross-border structures.
- Exposure to APA, MAP, and global transfer pricing planning projects.
- Strong business development and practice-building capabilities.
- Excellent presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
