Role Overview:
As an Associate Director of Statutory Audit, you will serve as a strategic leader responsible for overseeing complex audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of high-growth clients. You will lead high-performing teams to deliver high-quality financial reporting, ensuring rigorous compliance with Ind AS and IFRS standards. Beyond managing audit cycles, you will act as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders, providing deep financial insights that drive business integrity and operational efficiency. This role is pivotal in maintaining our firm's reputation for excellence while fostering long-term client relationships and mentoring the next generation of audit professionals across our Mumbai and Delhi NCR offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct end-to-end statutory audit engagements for large-scale clients to ensure absolute accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Lead and mentor engagement teams, providing technical guidance on complex accounting issues to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Partner with senior client management to resolve intricate financial reporting challenges and provide value-added consulting on accounting policy transitions.
- Manage engagement economics, including budgeting, resource allocation, and profitability tracking, to ensure the firm meets its operational targets.
- Cultivate and sustain strong client relationships by serving as the primary point of contact for audit-related queries and strategic financial discussions.
- Oversee the implementation of audit methodologies and quality control procedures to mitigate risk and uphold professional standards.
Required Skillset:
- Possess a deep technical mastery of Ind AS, IFRS, and local statutory audit requirements, with a proven ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards to real-world business scenarios.
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and manage multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to articulate complex financial findings clearly to board members and executive stakeholders.
- Maintain a proactive approach to financial consulting, identifying potential risks and opportunities for process improvement within client organizations.
- Hold a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) with 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in a professional services firm.
- Display high adaptability and professional skepticism, ensuring the integrity of financial data while navigating the evolving regulatory landscape in Mumbai and Delhi NCR.
