Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Associate Director - Statutory Audit to lead assurance engagements, manage client relationships, and drive high-quality audit delivery. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in statutory audits, experience leading large engagement teams, and the ability to contribute to business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee end-to-end statutory audit and assurance engagements, including group reporting assignments.
- Review financial statements and ensure compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards.
- Manage multiple audit engagements, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality expectations.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback to Consultants, Assistant Managers, and Managers.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while serving as the primary point of contact for audit engagements.
- Monitor project budgets, utilization, billing, and collections to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
- Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and engagement planning.
- Ensure adherence to internal quality standards, audit methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous process improvements and contribute to the development of audit practices.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Travel within India and internationally, as required, to support client engagements.
Required Skills:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- 8-12 years of experience in Statutory Audit and Assurance, preferably within a consulting or professional services firm.
- Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Accounting Standards (AS), Standards on Auditing (SAs), Companies Act, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience leading statutory audits for large and complex organizations.
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards (JDE), or Tally.
- Strong client-facing, stakeholder management, and business development skills.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and team mentoring capabilities.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements while meeting quality and delivery timelines.
Education (Mandatory):
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
