Position : Associate Director, Statutory Audit
Role Overview :
As an Associate Director in Statutory Audit, you will spearhead complex audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries, ensuring the highest standards of financial reporting and compliance. This pivotal role involves leading and mentoring high-performing teams, fostering robust relationships with C-suite executives and key stakeholders, and acting as a trusted advisor on intricate accounting and regulatory matters.
Your strategic insights and meticulous oversight will directly contribute to safeguarding financial integrity, enhancing client confidence, and upholding the firm's reputation for excellence in the market. Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage end-to-end statutory audit engagements for large and complex clients, ensuring adherence to Indian GAAP, Ind AS, IFRS, and auditing standards, to deliver timely and accurate audit opinions.
- Cultivate and strengthen client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact and expert resource for senior management on critical financial reporting and compliance issues, to foster long-term partnerships and identify value-add opportunities.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and finalization of audit procedures, applying advanced analytical techniques and professional judgment, to identify risks and ensure the integrity of financial statements.
- Mentor, coach, and develop a team of audit professionals, providing technical guidance and performance feedback, to build a high-performing and engaged workforce capable of delivering exceptional client service.
- Drive business development initiatives by contributing to proposals, thought leadership, and market outreach, to expand the firm's client base and enhance its brand presence.
- Ensure rigorous quality control and risk management throughout all audit engagements, complying with firm policies and professional standards, to mitigate risks and maintain the firm's reputation.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated extensive experience (7-11 years) in leading and executing statutory audits for large and complex organizations, preferably within a Big 4/6 environment, with a deep understanding of Indian GAAP, Ind AS, IFRS, and auditing standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements concurrently, delivering results under stringent deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with a track record of successfully mentoring, developing, and motivating audit professionals.
- Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, adept at engaging with C-suite executives, audit committees, and diverse stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
- A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is essential, reflecting a strong foundation in accounting principles and auditing practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving acumen, capable of navigating intricate financial scenarios and complex regulatory landscapes to provide strategic insights.
- Adaptability to a dynamic, client-facing work environment in Bangalore, requiring a proactive approach and occasional travel to client sites.
