About the Job:

We're looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Associate Director - Process to join our team in Gurgaon.

In this leadership role, you'll be instrumental in shaping and guiding the process engineering function for our world-class Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Lifesciences projects.

You will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from conceptual design to final execution, ensuring all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, regulatory compliance, and efficiency.

You should be a seasoned professional with 18-20 years of experience in a similar role within the Pharma or Biotech industries.

This position requires not just deep technical expertise but also exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and client management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Project Delivery:

- Lead and manage all process engineering deliverables for complex projects, including the development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), mass and energy balances, and equipment specifications.

- Drive the process design for a variety of facilities, including Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API), Oral Solid Dosage (OSD), Sterile, and Biotech plants, ensuring optimal layouts and efficient material flow.

- Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering packages and ensure all technical calculations and data sheets are accurate and compliant with project requirements.

- Utilize advanced simulation tools such as HYSYS and ASPEN for process modeling, optimization, and validation.

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance:

- Ensure strict compliance with global regulatory standards and guidelines from authorities such as the USFDA, MHRA, and WHO.

- Champion adherence to key industry guidelines, particularly those published by the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE).

- Implement and maintain robust quality assurance processes to guarantee the integrity and safety of all process designs.

Team Leadership & Client Management:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of process engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and collaboration.

- Serve as a key client-facing representative, building and maintaining strong relationships by demonstrating technical expertise and a commitment to quality and project success.

- Act as a technical authority and problem-solver, addressing complex engineering challenges and providing strategic guidance to project teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Biochemical, or a related Engineering discipline.

- 18-20 years of progressive experience in process engineering, with a significant focus on the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Lifesciences sectors.

- Demonstrated expertise in both basic and detailed engineering phases of large-scale projects.

- Extensive experience with the design and layout of API, OSD, Sterile, and/or Biotech facilities.

- Proficiency in process simulation software like HYSYS and ASPEN.

- In-depth knowledge of global regulatory and cGMP guidelines (USFDA, MHRA, WHO) and ISPE guidelines.

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
