Associate Director - IT

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned technology leader to work along with CTOs office and the India Center Head to drive the IT strategy and technical initiatives for our India Centre. The role demands a blend of strong leadership, technical expertise, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking to scale the tech function and build a future-ready organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Technology Strategy & Initiatives

- Scope, plan, and lead tech initiatives aligned with global business objectives.

- Recommend and implement scalable systems and platforms to support business growth.

- Drive digital transformation, automation, and innovation efforts across the India Centre.

- IT Organization Building

- Design and build the IT function from the ground up in India.

- Define the talent roadmap and hire top technology talent for long-term scalability.

- Program Management

- Lead end-to-end program delivery with a focus on timelines, efficiency, and quality.

- Collaborate with engineering, automation, and support teams to drive outcomes.

- Stakeholder Management

- Partner closely with global and local stakeholders, including the CTOs office.

- Represent India in global tech forums and influence HQ strategy where required.

- Vendor to In-House Transition

- Lead the transition of existing offshore third-party teams to a fully in-house model.

- Ensure smooth knowledge transfer, capability building, and operational continuity.

Requirements

- Experience: 15 to 20 years in technology leadership roles within large MNCs.

- Global Exposure: 8+ years of experience in engaging with global stakeholders and distributed teams.

- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of software engineering, automation, data analytics, and enterprise systems.

- Leadership: Proven ability to build, scale, and lead high-performing IT teams.

- Program Management: Deep experience in leading cross-functional, complex technology programs.

- Communication: Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to work with senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

- Experience in setting up or expanding a technology capability centre or CoE in India.

- Prior exposure to CTO or CIO office initiatives is highly desirable.
