Job Description:
1. Core Financial Accounting & Reporting:
- Bookkeeping Ownership: Fully manage and oversee all accounting operations using Zoho Books (or similar cloud accounting software).
- Timely Accounting: Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant recording of all revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements for internal and external stakeholders.
2. FinOps, Treasury & Expense Control:
- FinOps & Operational Problem Solving: Spearhead FinOps initiatives focused on optimizing and automating operational financial workflows, including streamlining the lifecycle of vendor payments, customer refunds, financial reconciliation processes, etc.
- Treasury Management: Manage working capital, monitor cash flow, and optimize bank relationships and internal treasury processes. - Expense Controller: Implement and enforce robust internal controls and policies to manage and optimize operating expenses.
3. Revenue Assurance & Ownership:
- Revenue Assurance: Assume full responsibility for the company's revenue cycle, ensuring all revenue is correctly recognized, collected efficiently, and accounted for with zero leakage.
- Opportunity Identification: Work closely with business teams to identify and validate new opportunities for revenue generation or pricing structure optimization.
4. Investor Relations & Strategic Contribution:
- Investor Reporting: Manage and prepare all financial and operational metrics/dashboards required for investor updates, board meetings, and due diligence.
- Strategic Decision Making: Partner with the leadership team to provide data-driven financial insights that inform critical strategic decisions on scaling, new market entry, and capital allocation.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and continuous financial forecasting to guide the business towards its financial targets.
What You Bring:
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of accounting principles (Ind AS/IFRS/GAAP) and practical experience with Zoho Books or a similar ERP/accounting system.
- FinOps Mindset: Proven ability to marry finance with operations, using data and process to solve real-world business problems.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex financial data, model scenarios, and translate numbers into clear business insights and actions.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of confidently presenting financial data to the leadership team and external investors.
