Role Overview
The Associate Director Finance will act as a strategic finance partner, driving strong financial governance, controllership excellence, and insight-led decision-making. The role focuses on improving business performance through robust accounting practices, effective risk management, working capital optimization, and continuous monitoring of financial health to support sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end finance controllership across multiple legal entities, including financial & cost accounting, month-end close, inventory governance, audits, internal controls, and statutory compliance.
- Monitor and drive key business performance metrics such as revenue, margins, and cost structures, and lead initiatives for margin expansion and cost optimization.
- Lead external audits and compliance engagements, acting as the single point of contact for statutory, internal, and corporate compliance matters.
- Anchor monthly business reviews with Sales and business leaders, translating financial data into actionable insights.
- Support IPO-related finance and compliance activities, as applicable.
- Drive operational excellence through data-driven insights, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to improve business outcomes.
- Prepare and deliver high-impact leadership presentations with clear storytelling and financial insights.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders (CFO, finance teams, business heads) and external stakeholders (clients, vendors, banks).
Requirements / Qualifications:
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in Finance Controllership, preferably within NBFC/BFSI.
- Strong exposure to financial reporting standards, taxation, regulatory compliance, and financial analysis.
- Experience in a listed company environment is preferred.
- Exposure to manufacturing sector finance is a plus.
Education:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory
