Note : This is an onsite role. As a critical member of the Digital Technology & Engineering (DTE) leadership team, reporting to the VP of Digital Technology, the Associate Director will be responsible for managing the governance and execution of critical programs and projects in engineering, and support of existing Digital Technology and company -wide in-house built and applications. This role is a fast-paced, hands-on position that requires immediate impact upon joining the team. The Associate Director of India Delivery Manager will serve as the local Operation & Service Delivery Lead for DTE and will require to in Bangalore 3-4 Days a week. This role is critical to the success of the DTE and will require close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment with DTE, business, and corporate goals and objectives. JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience. - 12+ years of experience delivering complex Engineering product solutions & services in a technical management capacity. - Technical Awareness of Data, Cloud services, Agile Development , SDLC etc. - Well versed is managing technical delivery through Agile process. - Experience leading and managing Software engineering & Developer. - Proven track record of development and deployment of Pharma and Biotech services applications. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. - Strong presentation skills. - Highly motivated and have a track record of innovation, hands-on development leadership, execution, delivery, customer focus, and be highly skilled in software development. - Minimum Years of Experience: 10+ years of Managing Software Development Team & Global Engineering Delivery. JOB DUTIES: What You Will Be Doing: - Ensure the team understands, accepts, and supports departmental goals and objectives. - Drives continuous improvement and culture of high performance through strategic projects, advocating for and effecting behavioral and process change across the organization by influencing decision makers and inspiring and motivating others to adopt new ways of working. - Enhance core structures, governance, and ways of working from an end-to-end perspective working across squads and leadership. - Manage cross-functional delivery - i.e Development, Data & Analytics Engineering, Computational Engineering, Applicationi Dev and Support teams consisting of on-site employees and consultants across a wide spectrum of technologies. - Work collaboratively with business and technology stakeholders to secure adequate engagement in the full SDLC process, including requirements gathering, design, test, and support phases. - Work with business and technology leaders to maximize efficiency by effectively tracking, evaluating, and reporting on the delivery of projects and services with regard to cost and timing as measured against agreed-upon service levels. - Resolve client satisfaction issues and ensure high priority/escalated issues are addressed in a timely manner. - Advise senior management on matters related to product development plans, budgets, personnel, and new opportunities. - Lead &/or facilitate the recruiting and hiring strategy for the DTE organization in India. - Lead global and remotely based product teams (on-site and offshore) and develop requirements built on customer and business needs. - Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvements across engineering processes with well-defined KPIs, including automation, cost engineering, data, and cloud metrics. - Optimize the visibility of delivery and status of delivery across the squads and leadership, including business value orientated progress, status of major release and key change against commitments including establishing forecast completion dates. - Developing key hypotheses for interventions for addressing issues and continuous improvement. - Embed and drive data-driven delivery, including the identification of key metrics. - Continuous assessment of key metrics to lay down projections, targets, risks, dependencies and enablers to meet those with respect to people skilling/ scaling, tuning of delivery processes & ways of working, quality of output at each delivery stage across stakeholders. - Improve the coordination across squads to deliver large scale technology development through technical releases to support quarterly Business Goals. - Support the Agile Delivery Leads , coach and facilitate quarterly Program Increment planning events, embedding enhancements for efficiency and increased delivery confidence. - Optimize flow of value through the squads; define and implement data analytics (i.e. Cycle Time metrics) for quantification, assessing and driving improvements to development and releases. - Proactive risk/ dependencies assessment, and driving steps to mitigate those without impacting deliveries. - Manage teams and outcomes with a line of sight on Opex and Capex Targets for the unit. - Drive continuous improvement (productivity and quality) in product development operations by initiating change and creating an environment that is conducive to changes
