Associate Director End-to-End Supply Chain & Operations

About:

It is building a trusted daily-fresh food platform for India, delivering in minutes. We're rebuilding the traditional retail supply chains to reduce the production-to-plate cycle to hours, with a strong private-label economics, so that the consumer gets fresh, clean, premium-quality food at accessible price points. Our dark stores are becoming multi-format engines, with Caf a fresh-food play served in minutes from the same network launching soon.

The Role:

You will own the complete physical journey of every order mandi/vendor floor to customer doorstep. You own all three miles, the SLA architecture that binds them, and the supply-chain P&L. You set the strategy, design the network and processes, define and keep raising the SLAs, and run the daily operating rhythm that delivers them as a founding member of the leadership team with a clear path to Director / VP Operations.

What You Will Own:

Strategy & Network Design:

- End-to-end supply-chain strategy sourcing model, dark-store network expansion, and the P&L levers behind it: procurement cost, wastage, manpower productivity, delivery cost per order.

- Demand forecasting and daily indenting for a perishable assortment.

First Mile Mandi / Supplier to Dark Store:

- Run the procurement engine: buyer teams, price discovery and negotiation vs. daily mandi rates, quality-check and grading.

- Build the supplier ecosystem mandi agents, FPOs, direct-farm relationships, vendors with scorecards on quality, fill rate and landed cost.

Dark Store Operations:

- Own availability, quality, productivity and cost across the network through Cluster Managers and Store Teams.

- Run safe, hygienic, fully compliant stores and ready the network for multi-format operations as Caf goes live.

Last Mile:

- Own the rider network fleet sizing, onboarding, retention, earnings design and the 1015 minute promise.

SLAs, Control Tower & People:

- Define, publish and own the SLA framework across all three miles with real-time dashboards, daily flash reviews and weekly business reviews.

- Hire, coach and grow Cluster Managers and Store Teams; build the culture, scorecards and leadership bench for a large frontline workforce.

What You Bring:

- Pedigree: MBA/PGDM from a tier-1 institute (IIM, ISB, XLRI, FMS) and/or B.Tech from IIT / BITS / NIT or equivalent, with 3+ years in high-growth operations.

- Ownership at scale: End-to-end ownership of a city, cluster or fulfilment network with P&L or cost-line accountability.

- First-principles thinking: You reason from unit economics and physics of the problem.

- Analytical depth: Data, forecasting, metric-tree thinking.

- Field orientation: Comfort with 4 AM mandi visits, store gemba walks and rider ride-alongs.

Why:

- Founder-level scope, day one.

- First-principles culture. No legacy playbooks, no committees.

- Real hustle, real speed. Decisions in hours, experiments in days, stores launched in weeks.

- Ground-floor upside. Meaningful ESOPs at the steepest part of the curve.
