About the Role:
We are seeking an Associate Director/Director to lead strategic, commercial and transaction advisory engagements across Oil & Gas, Natural Resources, Metals & Mining, Energy and Infrastructure. The role will work closely with the Practice Head and senior client stakeholders to deliver rigorous, timely and high-quality advisory outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engagement teams on strategic, commercial, project finance and M&A advisory mandates.
- Advise clients, off-takers, lenders and other stakeholders on transactions across Oil & Gas, Energy, Metals & Mining and Infrastructure.
- Assess the commercial and contractual implications of Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs), Joint Operating Agreements (JOAs) and other Oil & Gas contracts, particularly in project and asset financing.
- Lead complex financial modelling, valuation, scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis for investment, acquisition and divestiture decisions.
- Develop commercial and growth strategies through structured research, benchmarking and analysis.
- Own the quality of client reports, information memoranda, deal notes and board-level presentations.
- Build and manage senior relationships with corporates, sovereign entities and institutional investors.
- Independently manage day-to-day client engagement, translate requirements into actionable workplans, and respond to changing priorities.
- Identify and originate new business opportunities through sector, geography and competitor research.
- Lead proposal development and client pitches in partnership with the Practice Head.
Candidate Profile:
- Master's degree or MBA in Finance, Economics or a related discipline from a premier institute.
- CFA or another relevant professional certification is an advantage.
- 10+ years of relevant experience with international banks, energy companies, developers, investors/funds, or strategy and corporate advisory institutions.
- Prior experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Metals & Mining or Infrastructure is preferred.
- Strong strategic, analytical and commercial judgement, with proven ability to lead and review complex financial models.
- Sound understanding of PSCs, Oil & Gas contracts and Public-Private Partnership structures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multicultural, multidisciplinary teams and manage senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail and ownership of high-quality deliverables.
Location: Delhi or Mumbai
