Job Title: Associate Director / Director of IT

Summary:
This is a key leadership role responsible for the successful delivery of application development projects and programs within the Clinical domain. This role requires a strong visionary leader, proven leadership skills, and extensive experience in the US Healthcare Payer industry, particularly within the Clinical domain. This role will lead a team of Developers, Product Owners, and partner with other functions such as Enterprise IT Architecture and Quality Assurance , ensuring alignment with organizational goals and effective resource utilization.
Operating in a matrixed environment, this person will be a skilled relationship builder, collaborating with US counterparts and other internal teams to achieve shared objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Directly manage a team, of Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching and mentoring, and support the professional development of team members.
- Assess and identify capability gaps within the team, developing and implementing strategies to address them.
- Contribute to internal knowledge building by creating internal collateral and reusable assets
Delivery and Project Management:
- Take accountability for the successful delivery of application development projects and programs within the Clinical domain, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Drive the execution of projects, proactively addressing risks and issues, and escalating as needed.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.
Resource Management and Planning:
- Develop and maintain resource plans and projections, aligning resources to the right efforts.
- Experience in demand and capacity planning and forecasting to accurately predict resource needs.
- Coordinate with Product Owners to understand project priorities and develop resource allocation strategies.
Stakeholder Management and Communication:
- Work closely with US counterparts and other internal teams to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
- Interface with various stakeholders across the organization, building strong relationships and fostering open communication.
- Identify and communicate risks and issues to senior leadership and team members.
- Present project status updates and other relevant information to senior leadership.
Technical Expertise and Strategy:
- Experience in PEGA and the healthcare framework and integrations with external vendors.
- Contribute to the development of IT strategies and roadmaps for the Provider domain
- Awareness of current and emerging industry trends, tools, frameworks, and technologies.
- Proficient with utilizing methodology concepts to support the full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Implement Pega Blueprints that leverage GenAI to accelerate the transformation of application ideas into interactive solutions
- Develop automation tools and frameworks that streamline the modernization process and ensure quality implementation
- Contribute to the evolution of Pega's modernization methodologies and tools, shaping the future of application modernization
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the US Healthcare Payer industry.
- Knowledge and familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience within the Clinical domain (Utilization Management , Care Management and/or other relevant areas).
- Proven experience in leading and managing application development teams.
- Strong delivery experience with a track record of successfully delivering projects and programs.
- Experience with demand and capacity planning and forecasting.
- Experience working with external vendors.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
- Knowledge of HL7, CCD, FHIR, X12 and other existing healthcare data interchange standards. Exposure to emerging standards
- Knowledge with payers, providers, HIEs, IDNs, and other healthcare industries
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of PEGA application development experience
- Pega Certified Senior Systems Architect
- Experience in Pega Healthcare Framework, or Customer Decision Hub experience.
