Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly seasoned and strategic Associate Director - Delivery with a robust background in the US Healthcare domain.

With over 16 years of experience, the ideal candidate will serve as the strategic anchor for our HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) Medical Coding business unit.

In this role, you will lead large-scale delivery operations, champion quality and compliance benchmarks, nurture executive-level client relationships, and mentor high-performing teams.

This is a critical leadership position requiring a blend of risk adjustment expertise, operational brilliance, and exceptional stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Delivery Management:

- End-to-End Delivery: Oversee large-scale, multi-site HCC coding operations, ensuring all service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently met or exceeded.

- Strategic Planning: Resource, capacity, and budgetary planning to optimize utilization and ensure seamless scalability of operations.

- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement lean methodologies, automation, or process re-engineering to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Domain & Quality Compliance:

- Risk Adjustment Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Risk Adjustment and HCC medical coding guidelines.

- Compliance & Auditing: Enforce stringent compliance with HIPAA, CMS regulations, and internal quality assurance frameworks to mitigate risk.

- Quality Frameworks: Drive high-accuracy coding initiatives and oversee root-cause analysis (RCA) for any quality or compliance deviations.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

- Account Governance: Act as the primary escalation point and strategic partner for US-based clients, conducting regular business reviews (MBRs/QBRs).

- Consultative Growth: Understand client pain points and proactively propose value-added solutions to expand the account footprint.

Leadership & People Management:

- Talent Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a large team of delivery managers, team leads, and certified medical coders.

- Succession Planning: Establish clear career pathways, drive retention strategies, and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Experience & Education:

- Total Experience: 16+ years of professional experience in US Healthcare delivery operations.

- Domain Focus: Minimum of 5-7 years in a dedicated leadership role managing HCC / Risk Adjustment Medical Coding operations.

- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field.

- Certifications (Highly Preferred): CPC, CRC, CCS-P, or CIC from AAPC/AHIMA.

Core Competencies:

- Leadership: Proven track record of managing large teams (100+ FTEs) in a global delivery model.

- Analytical Skills: Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret operational metrics and financial data.

- Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills suited for C-suite interaction.
