Key Responsibilities
Category Analytics & Insights
- The role will own end-to-end category analytics for a perishable/F&B category, covering forecasting, pricing analytics, demand analytics, supply analytics, consumer and customer analytics, and channel partner analytics.
- The individual will be responsible for building a coherent, data-backed view of category performance and health across these dimensions.
- The role will generate actionable insights on consumer buying behavior, category penetration trends, product performance and assortment gaps, and unit economics drivers and leakages.
- These insights will be used to inform category decision-making and improve the quality and speed of execution by category owners.
Planning & Allocation Support
- The role will support category planning and allocation decisions by providing analytical inputs on how inventory and supply should be distributed across different nodes, terminals, or operating units.
- This includes working with planning logic, allocation rules, and analytical models that guide decisions on how much inventory should flow where, based on demand patterns, supply constraints, and performance data.
- The individual will work closely with category execution leaders to translate analytical outputs into clear, decision-ready recommendations, while remaining focused on analytics rather than execution ownership.
Candidate Profile
Experience
- The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of total work experience, with a strong preference for profiles within this range.
- The role is intentionally designed for candidates who are early-mid career and capable of operating with high ownership without an excessive legacy mindset.
Background
- Candidates with experience in e-commerce or quick commerce environments are strongly preferred, especially those who have worked in data-driven categories, business analytics, or planning roles.
- The candidate should have hands-on exposure to category analytics, including pricing analysis, demand and supply analytics, and consumer or customer analytics.
Domain Exposure
- Prior experience in Fruits & Vegetables or perishable categories is not mandatory for this role.
- However, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to apply analytical thinking to fast-moving, operationally complex categories.
