Designation: Associate Director -Automobile Procurement for a BIG FOUR

Mandates (Deal Breakers):

- VA/VE Strategy (Value Engineering- Cost Reduction) for multiple categories.

- Automobile industry in Sourcing & Procurement.

- Exposure in Direct Buying in Auto industry.

- Implementing procurement platforms.

- MBA (Full time) from Tier1 college.

- Preference for Big3/ Big4 & other consulting boutique firm candidates.

About the role:

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive sourcing initiatives for direct material categories within the automotive industry.

- Lead value engineering and cost reduction projects across multiple part categories.

- Partner with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Manufacturing) to optimize design-to-cost.

- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve sustainable cost savings.

- Negotiate with suppliers and build long-term strategic vendor relationships.

Requirements:

- 7+ years of relevant experience in sourcing/procurement, with strong exposure to direct materials.

- Proven track record in value engineering and procurement cost reduction.

- Prior experience in the automotive sector is a must.

- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Preferred education: MBA from SPJain, NITIE, IIMs, or equivalent top B-school.
