Associate/Analyst - Venture Capital Investment

About the role:

A venture capital fund is hiring an Associate / Analyst for company research and portfolio management.

Key responsibilities:

- Industry and primary company research across the portfolio and coverage universe.

- Business and financial research and diligence on startups raising capital, including in-depth analysis of industry and competition, and preparation of detailed research notes.

- In-depth industry research using global and domestic data, mapping the entire chain of participants.

- Primary research including channel checks, plant visits and company visits.

- Due diligence, engaging directly with founders and liaising with legal counsel through deal closure.

- Research on deals, trends and transactions in the early-stage startup ecosystem.

- Build a network of industry participants across coverage sectors and write update notes and reports.

- Build strong connect with portfolio company managements.

Candidate profile:

- 2+ years of venture capital experience.

- Hands-on multi-tasker, self-directed, strong in industry and on-ground primary research.

- Excellent oral and written communication is mandatory.

- PowerPoint and Excel expertise required.

- Absolute discretion with confidential matters.
