JOB PURPOSE:

This is a critical role in the success of the Group Investment Risk Function, where the role requires understanding the various investment risks across group entities related to equity, fixed income, real estate and quant strategies.

The ideal candidate should interact with CIOs/ Fund Managers and identify investment-related risks, which would enable monitoring, measurement and management of such risks. The ideal candidate should have experience in investment risk across the aforementioned asset classes, with overall experience of 10-15 years.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Identify the risks across the investment portfolio of all group entities.

- Develop dashboards for monitoring and measurement of the same.

- Interact with the CIOs/ Fund Managers and risk officers to determine the guardrails required for various types of investments based on regulatory requirements, business requirements and investment strategies.

- Timely escalation to senior management, which would include the respective CEOs and President-Investments.

- Work with GIRO to provide inputs from a risk perspective relating to real estate, private equity and credit investments.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Educational Qualifications:

a) Qualifications:

- CA / MBA.

- Advanced MS office skills preferred.

- Understanding of attribution analysis.

b) Work Experience:

- 10 to 15 yrs of experience in BFSI sector.

- Aggregate of at least 7 years of experience across Investment Risk and Fund Management functions.

- Investment risk experience across multiple asset classes, which would include equity, fixed income, real estate and quant strategies.

Skills and abilities:

- Ability to interact with senior management on a regular basis and provide inputs relating to investment-related risks.

- Provide confidence to the senior management that investment risks are being adequately monitored, measured and managed.

- Develop relationships with CIOs, Fund Managers and Risk officers across group entities so that the teams inputs are valued by them.

- Strong attention to detail.
