Role Overview:
The position will drive strategy, development, and scale for key digital payments products. The role requires strong expertise in payment ecosystems, including merchant acceptance technologies and payment processing infrastructure.
The selected candidate will work closely with engineering, business, compliance, and partner ecosystems to build and scale next-generation payment products.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Define and execute product strategy and roadmap for digital payment solutions.
2) Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to launch and scale.
3) Drive development of payment products such as Tap-on-Phone, SoftPOS, tokenization platforms, and payment aggregation services.
4) Collaborate with engineering teams to translate product strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and release plans.
5) Work closely with banks, payment networks, and ecosystem partners for integrations and regulatory compliance.
6) Lead cross-functional initiatives across technology, operations, and business teams.
7) Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to enhance product positioning.
8) Monitor product performance metrics and continuously improve functionality and user experience.
Required Experience:
1) 10+ years of experience in payments, fintech, or digital banking products.
2) Experience building or managing products in areas such as:
- Merchant acquiring, Payment gateways/aggregation, SoftPOS / Tap-on-Phone, Tokenization, Payment switching infrastructure
3) Strong understanding of card networks, acquiring & issuing flows, and real-time payment systems.
4) Familiarity with PCI-DSS, RBI payment regulations, and tokenization frameworks.
5) Working knowledge of APIs, SDKs, encryption standards, and mobile-first payment platforms.
6) Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
Preferred Background: Candidates from payment gateways, fintech platforms, acquiring processors, card networks, or payment infrastructure companies will be strongly preferred.
