1. Strategic Leadership & Supply Chain Strategy
- Develop and drive enterprise-level procurement and SCM strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Implement best-in-class procurement practices and T&D-specific sourcing methodologies.
- Foster continuous improvement through supplier segmentation, category management, spend analytics, and risk reduction.
2. Supplier & Category Management
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with Tier-1 vendors in the T&D sector.
- Oversee category management for major procurements substation equipment, conductors, switchgear, civil materials ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
- Negotiate high-value contracts and long-term agreements while ensuring performance and compliance.
3. Operational Oversight
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes including tendering, negotiations, purchase orders, and delivery follow-up.
- Maintain strong inventory and logistics planning to prevent project delays.
- Ensure adherence to procurement governance, compliance requirements, and internal SOPs.
4. Cross-Functional & Project Collaboration
- Collaborate with project, planning, engineering, QA/QC, finance, and commercial teams to align procurement with execution schedules.
- Support cost forecasting, budgeting, and project procurement reporting.
5. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a high-performing procurement and SCM team.
- Establish capability development programs and succession planning for critical procurement roles.
6. Risk, Quality & Compliance
- Conduct supplier risk assessments, audits, and vendor performance reviews.
- Ensure quality assurance of incoming goods and enforce supplier corrective action processes.
7. Digital Transformation & Innovation
- Drive adoption of e-procurement, ERP (SAP/MM) systems, contract management tools, and process automation.
- Use analytics and dashboards for procurement performance monitoring and decision-making.
8. External Interface & Stakeholder Management
- Engage with regulators, certification bodies, and external stakeholders for compliance and best practices.
- Represent the organization in vendor forums, consortiums, and industry events.
