Assistant Vice President/Vice President - Process Safety - Chemical/Petrochemical/Pharmaceutical

Key Responsibilities (State the primary duties and tasks of the position):

1. Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) , What If Analysis, Activity Based Risk Assessment, Human Factor and Facility Siting, & also provide Trainings on process safety for all sites (Chemical Hazards, PHA (HAZOP, What If...) Run Away reactions, dust explosion,, PSI, PSSRs, Safety Culture, Emergency Plan, Static Electricity, PSM SOPs, CCPS 20 Elements).

2. Leading HAZOP Team for HAZOP studies

3. Participating in process safety Incident Investigation

4. Study of Process Safety during scale up of processes from R & D to Pilot Plant & from Pilot Plant to Production Plant

5. Conducting group risk assessment & PSSR for all new products & processes.

6. Conducting Process Safety Audits of all sites for improving effectiveness of PSM Program.

7. Dispersion Modelling for High Hazardous Chemicals.

8. Hazardous area Classification. ( HAC)/ Electrical Classification ATEX/IECEx Standards.

9. Chemical reactivity & Compatibility Evaluation.

10. Process Equipment's & Unit Operations- Design Safety

11. Evaluation of Process safety parameters for RM's, Intermediates & Final Products through R&D and/or external process safety laboratories

12. Participation in Management of Change (MOC) process

13. Participation in mechanical integrity & asset reliability program implementation

14. SOPs Preparation & Implementation of Process safety management as per global standards

Competence (Skills, knowledge, experience and attributes required)

Education : B.E./B.Tech - Chemical Engineering

Certificate course in Industrial Safety / Process safety

Work Experience : 15+ years of experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Fertilizer, Oil & Gas industries

Knowledge :

- Should have thorough knowledge of PSM elements and its implementation

- EHS legal requirements

- Competent in Safety Related Software
