About the Opportunity:

Our client is a leading alternative asset manager with a dedicated private credit platform focused on providing structured, secured lending solutions to established businesses across diverse sectors.

The platform follows a performing credit strategy, investing in secured debt instruments backed by strong collateral, robust covenants, and high-quality counterparties.

The investment philosophy emphasizes capital preservation, disciplined underwriting, and attractive risk-adjusted returns through carefully structured private credit transactions.

The strategy is sector-agnostic and provides financing solutions such as acquisition financing, growth capital, bridge financing, working capital, and other bespoke structured credit opportunities.

Role Summary:

The Assistant Vice President/Vice President will be part of the Private Credit investment team and will be responsible for evaluating, structuring, executing, and monitoring credit investments throughout the investment lifecycle.

The role offers significant exposure to credit underwriting, financial analysis, transaction structuring, legal documentation, portfolio management, and interaction with promoters, lenders, advisors, and institutional investors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Source and evaluate private credit investment opportunities across multiple sectors.

- Perform detailed financial analysis, credit underwriting, cash flow assessment, and risk evaluation.

- Build and review financial models, debt repayment models, and sensitivity analyses.

- Conduct commercial, financial, legal, and operational due diligence.

- Structure lending transactions, negotiate commercial terms, security packages, and financial covenants.

- Prepare detailed investment memorandums and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.

- Coordinate transaction execution with legal advisors, borrowers, lenders, and other stakeholders.

- Monitor portfolio companies through periodic financial reviews, covenant compliance, and ongoing risk assessment.

- Identify refinancing, restructuring, and value enhancement opportunities where applicable.

- Track industry developments, credit markets, and emerging investment opportunities.

Key Requirements:

- 7-10 years of experience in private credit, structured finance, corporate lending, credit underwriting, leveraged finance, project finance, special situations, investment banking, or related investment roles.

- CA, CFA, MBA (Finance).

- Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial statement analysis, debt structuring, and risk assessment.

- Experience in evaluating and executing debt transactions from origination through closing.

- Excellent financial modelling, analytical, and valuation skills.

- Strong understanding of legal documentation, collateral structures, and financing agreements.

- Ability to assess borrower quality, business fundamentals, cash flow generation, and downside protection.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced investment environment with strong attention to detail and ownership of deliverables.
