AVP/ VP : Practice Lead Data & Analytics

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Consulting & Transformation Leadership:

- Define and lead enterprise-wide data and analytics transformation strategies for global insurance clients.

- Advise clients on modern data ecosystems, self-service analytics, predictive modeling, AI-driven operations, and digital transformation initiatives.

- Identify, prioritize, and shape high-value use cases across underwriting, pricing, claims, finance, and distribution functions.

- Build measurable business cases linked to profitability, operational efficiency, loss ratio improvement, expense reduction, and data quality enhancement.

- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders on data and analytics strategy.

Client Engagement & Solution Leadership:

- Lead the design, architecture, and deployment of end-to-end data and analytics solutions.

- Act as a business architect, helping clients envision and implement next-generation analytics and Agentic AI solutions.

- Own the complete solution lifecycle from opportunity identification and business case development to implementation and value realization.

- Lead RFP responses, proposal development, solution presentations, and client demonstrations.

- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

Data, Analytics & Technology Leadership:

- Provide thought leadership across modern data platforms, cloud ecosystems, analytics frameworks, and AI/ML technologies.

- Guide architecture decisions involving data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, master data management, data governance, and reporting ecosystems.

- Drive adoption of advanced analytics techniques including predictive modeling, risk scoring, NLP, intelligent automation, fraud detection, and segmentation.

- Stay current with emerging technologies, insurtech innovations, and AI advancements to strengthen service offerings.

Insurance Domain Expertise:

- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across the P&C insurance value chain.

- Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, claims, finance, and operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions.

- Bridge business and technology teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Partner with delivery, digital, technology, and process excellence teams to deliver integrated solutions.

- Collaborate with sales and account management teams on opportunity identification, solution positioning, and go-to-market initiatives.

- Support strategic account growth through solution innovation and client relationship management.

- Lead global, cross-functional teams across multiple geographies and business functions.

Innovation & Practice Development:

- Drive innovation through automation, AI/ML, advanced analytics, and data modernization initiatives.

- Build reusable frameworks, accelerators, dashboards, data models, and best-practice playbooks.

- Enhance solutioning methodologies, delivery frameworks, and stakeholder engagement models.

- Mentor and develop analytics, consulting, and data professionals within the practice.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Insurance Domain Expertise:

- Deep understanding of the P&C insurance value chain including underwriting, pricing, claims, finance, and distribution.

- Strong knowledge of insurance data models, operational processes, and analytics use cases.

Technical & Architectural Expertise:

- Expertise in cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Strong understanding of data engineering, data architecture, ETL/ELT, data governance, MDM, and reporting solutions.

- Experience with BI and analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar tools.

- Hands-on understanding of AI/ML, predictive analytics, NLP, intelligent automation, and modern analytics ecosystems.

- Knowledge of APIs, microservices, integration patterns, and cloud-native architectures.

Consulting & Solutioning:

- Proven experience in solution architecture, proposal management, and RFP leadership.

- Strong business consulting and executive stakeholder engagement skills.

- Ability to connect data initiatives with business and financial outcomes.

Leadership & Collaboration:

- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.

- Strong stakeholder management across business, actuarial, technology, and operations teams.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor global, cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Relevant certifications in Cloud, Data Analytics, AI/ML, or Insurance domains are preferred.

Experience Requirements:

- 15+ years of experience in Data, Analytics, Digital Transformation, or Technology Consulting roles.

- Minimum 7+ years leading large-scale Data Platform, BI, Analytics, AI/ML, or Digital Transformation programs.

- Proven experience delivering enterprise data and analytics solutions for global insurance or financial services clients.

- Strong track record in client-facing consulting, solution architecture, and transformation leadership roles.
