The Vice President - Local Liaison (Real Estate) is a senior leadership role responsible for driving land acquisition, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory coordination across key markets. This role oversees on-ground liaison operations, builds high-value relationships with government bodies and local influencers, and ensures seamless execution of real estate projects from sourcing to approvals. The VP will play a critical role in shaping expansion strategy and mitigating local risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute regional land acquisition and liaison strategies aligned with company growth plans
- Identify high-potential markets, partnerships, and expansion opportunities
- Advise leadership on local regulatory landscapes and risk factors
Stakeholder & Government Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior government officials, regulatory authorities, landowners, and key local stakeholders
- Act as the primary escalation point for high-level negotiations and conflict resolution
- Represent the organization in external forums, industry bodies, and local networks
Land Acquisition & Deal Structuring:
- Lead large-scale land acquisition initiatives, including sourcing, due diligence, and closure
- Oversee negotiations, pricing strategies, and partnership structuring
- Ensure clear land titles and compliance with legal frameworks
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight:
- Ensure timely approvals, licenses, and permits from municipal and state authorities
- Monitor compliance with zoning laws, environmental norms, and local regulations
- Proactively manage risks related to legal, political, and community issues
Operational Management:
- Lead and mentor regional liaison and field teams
- Establish SOPs for site visits, documentation, and reporting
- Drive efficiency in on-ground operations and inter-department coordination
- Ensure seamless handover from acquisition to project execution Analyze local market trends, competitor activities, and pricing dynamics
Market Intelligence & Risk Management:
