We are seeking a seasoned Senior Equity Research Analyst to lead coverage of the BFSI sector while gradually expanding into additional sectors based on business needs. The role involves building high-conviction investment views, managing junior analysts, engaging with company managements, and contributing directly to portfolio construction and client communication.

The incumbent will be expected to deliver insight-driven research, generate alpha, and support institutional clients and internal investment teams through rigorous fundamental analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead coverage of BFSI stocks across banks, NBFCs, insurance, and AMCs.

- Develop detailed financial models, valuation frameworks, and sector outlooks.

- Publish actionable research notes and investment recommendations.

- Track earnings, regulatory developments, and macro drivers impacting BFSI.

- Engage regularly with company management teams and industry experts.

- Support portfolio managers with stock ideas and risk assessment.

- Mentor junior analysts and build sector coverage depth.

- Over time, initiate coverage of additional sectors as required.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Deep expertise in BFSI fundamentals and regulatory environment.

- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.

- Proven stock-picking track record.

- Excellent written and verbal communication.

- Ability to manage multiple sector responsibilities.

- CFA / MBA preferred.

Experience & Qualifications:

- 10-15 years in sell-side or buy-side equity research.

- Strong BFSI coverage experience mandatory.

- Exposure to cross-sector coverage is a plus.
