Assistant Vice President/Vice President - Equity Fund Raise - Investment Bank

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced investment banking professional to join our team, with a strong background in managing client relationships and transactions, and a solid understanding of business valuation techniques.

About the Role :

The successful candidate will have 9-11 years of experience at an investment bank or private equity advisory firm, with a proven track record of managing day-to-day aspects of client relationships and transactions. The role requires superior attention to detail, quality deliverables, and the ability to work independently and lead teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage day-to-day aspects of client relationships and transactions with superior attention to detail and quality deliverables

- Lead and manage teams, including proper coaching and mentoring

- Utilize experience and networks with venture capital and private equity ecosystem in India

- Apply strong understanding of business valuation techniques, including comparable company/transaction analysis and discounted cash flow

- Multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

- Travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time

Required Skills :

- 9-11 years of experience at an investment bank or private equity advisory firm

- Demonstrated experience in managing day-to-day aspects of client relationships and transactions

- Ability to work independently and lead teams

- Strong understanding of business valuation techniques

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks

- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Skills :

- Knowledge of social investment space

- Experience with or networks with venture capital and private equity ecosystem in India

Qualifications :

- MBA with major in Finance or Economics/CA (or equivalent degree or CFA), desirable

- Superior deal closing ability and maturity to understand critical deal terms

- Strong financial modeling skills with solid experience in accounting and business valuation techniques

- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
