Assistant Vice President/Vice President - Engineering & Design - Renewable Energy & BESS

About the Role:

We are hiring a seasoned Engineering & Design leader to drive large-scale renewable energy and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across India. This role will be instrumental in leading engineering strategy, ensuring grid compliance, and delivering high-impact power infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end engineering design for renewable energy and BESS projects

- Drive design optimization and value engineering initiatives

- Ensure compliance with CTU/STU connectivity and grid regulations

- Oversee substation and transmission system design and execution

- Conduct and review dynamic/grid impact studies

- Collaborate with EPC partners for project execution and technical alignment

- Perform technical audits and ensure quality standards across projects

- Work closely with stakeholders including DISCOMs, GENCOs, GRIDCOs, IPPs, and developers

- Ensure adherence to CEA regulations, IEGC compliance, and BESS safety standards

Required Skills & Expertise:

- Strong experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

- Expertise in utility-scale renewable energy projects

- In-depth knowledge of grid connectivity (CTU/STU) and compliance frameworks

- Hands-on experience in substation and transmission design

- Strong understanding of dynamic/grid impact analysis

- Experience in EPC coordination and execution

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in large-scale projects exceeding 500 MW

- Strong understanding of Indian power sector regulations and policies

- Proven leadership experience in engineering teams
