Description

- Own and drive the complete category strategy for fashion - including assortment planning, pricing, merchandising, and consumer experience.

- Lead P&L management, revenue growth, margin optimization, and operational efficiencies across the category.

- Build and scale vendor networks, sourcing partnerships, and private- label initiatives tailored to quick- commerce speed and fashion trends.

- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive intelligence to develop a dynamic and relevant product roadmap.

- Collaborate with supply chain, operations, growth, product, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of launches and category campaigns.

- Drive demand forecasting, sell- through analysis, and inventory planning to ensure optimal stock health and minimal wastage.

- Mentor and lead a category team of buyers, planners, and analysts; foster a culture of agility, creativity, and data- driven decision making.

- Partner closely with the founders and leadership team to scale new fashion verticals and explore new category opportunities.

Profile:

A successful AVP/VP - Category Management should have:

- 8-14 years of experience in fashion category management, merchandising, or buying (experience in fast fashion or Q- commerce is a plus).

- Strong business acumen with proven P&L ownership and ability to deliver high- growth outcomes.

- Deep understanding of fashion trends, customer preferences, and fast- moving assortments.

- Demonstrated strength in vendor development, sourcing, and negotiation.

- Ability to balance speed with quality, especially in a rapid- turnaround category.

- Exceptional stakeholder management skills; comfortable partnering with cross- functional teams in a fast- paced environment.

- Leadership skills with experience managing mid- sized teams.

- Analytical mindset with comfort using data tools and insights for decision- making.
