Assistant Vice President - Structural Design

Description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the structural design team for residential projects, from concept stage through execution.

- Prepare, review, and validate structural design calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.

- Ensure all designs comply with IS Codes, NBC, and other applicable international standards.

- Collaborate closely with architects, MEP consultants, project managers, and contractors to deliver coordinated and integrated design solutions.

- Conduct structural feasibility studies and propose value-engineering solutions to enhance performance and reduce costs.

- Review geotechnical investigation reports and provide appropriate foundation design recommendations.

- Approve structural drawings and issue Good for Construction (GFC) drawings.

- Perform design checks, peer reviews, and quality audits to ensure accuracy and consistency of deliverables.

- Introduce innovative design practices to optimize material usage, sustainability, and overall project cost efficiency.

- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior engineers and design team members.

- Ensure all structural design activities meet project timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

- Coordinate with external consultants, statutory authorities, and contractors for required design approvals and submissions.

- Support site teams by resolving structural design-related queries and issues during construction.
