Position : Assistant Vice President (AVP) - Strategy
Educational Qualification :- MBA / PGDM (Finance, Strategy, Business Management) from reputed institution.
- Additional certification in Capital Markets, Commodity Markets, CFA, FRM or equivalent preferred.
Experience : - 14 - 17 years of relevant experience in Commodity Exchange, Stock Exchange, Financial Services, Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Consulting, or Financial Market Infrastructure Institutions.

About the Role :The Assistant Vice President - Strategy will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, business planning, market intelligence, and organizational growth strategies for the Exchange. The role requires strong understanding of commodity markets, exchange operations, regulatory framework, competitive landscape, and business transformation initiatives. The incumbent will work closely with senior leadership in identifying growth opportunities, improving operational efficiencies, and strengthening the Exchanges market position.
Objective of the Role :To strengthen the strategic planning capabilities, drive sustainable business growth, identify market expansion opportunities, improve operational efficiency, and support long-term organizational development initiatives in line with evolving commodity market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities :1. Strategic Planning & Business Growth :- Support formulation and execution of short-term and long-term strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities, product innovations, and market expansion strategies to enhance exchange participation.
- Drive strategic initiatives aimed at increasing market share, trading volumes, and overall exchange competitiveness.
- Conduct periodic review of strategic objectives and monitor implementation progress.
2. Market Research & Industry Analysis :- Analyze commodity market trends, economic developments, regulatory changes, and competitor activities impacting exchange business.
- Conduct market intelligence studies to identify emerging opportunities in commodity derivatives, new products, and participant behavior.
- Prepare research reports and strategic recommendations for senior management.
3. Business Performance Monitoring :- Develop and monitor key business performance indicators across product segments and market participants.
- Analyze trading patterns, revenue streams, customer participation trends, and operational efficiency metrics.
- Present periodic business performance reports to leadership team with strategic recommendations.
4. Regulatory & Industry Coordination :- Monitor developments from regulatory authorities including SEBI and other market regulators impacting exchange operations.
- Support strategic initiatives related to regulatory compliance, new regulations, and market development frameworks.
- Coordinate with internal departments for regulatory-driven strategic projects.
5. Product Development & Innovation :- Identify opportunities for introduction of new commodity contracts, derivative products, and technology-driven trading solutions.
- Evaluate feasibility and commercial viability of new exchange products and services.
- Work with business, technology, and operations teams for successful product launches.
6. Stakeholder Management :- Engage with brokers, trading members, institutional participants, clearing corporations, depositories, and other market stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional strategic projects involving technology, operations, compliance, surveillance, and business development teams.
- Support management presentations, board papers, and strategic business proposals.
7. Process Improvement & Transformation :- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process optimization initiatives.
- Drive digital transformation and automation initiatives for enhancing operational effectiveness.
- Lead strategic transformation projects focused on long-term business sustainability.
