Job Summary:

The AVP / Senior AVP - AI Transformation & Strategic Consulting will lead enterprise-wide AI and business transformation initiatives within the Banking and Financial Services (BFSI) domain, combining expertise in banking technology, management consulting, AI/automation, business transformation, and client advisory. The role is responsible for identifying opportunities to optimize banking operations through AI-driven solutions, developing transformation roadmaps, and advising senior stakeholders on strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience across Payments, Fraud, Disputes, AML, KYC, Lending, Banking Platforms, Banking Operations, and broader BFSI transformation programs, with the ability to bridge business strategy, technology modernization, and operational excellence. The position requires strong consulting capabilities, executive stakeholder management, and expertise in delivering measurable business outcomes through digital and AI-led transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AI Transformation & Process Optimization:

- Analyse and redesign operational workflows to improve efficiency through AI and automation.

- Drive adoption of AI-powered tools, workflow automation, risk scoring, and intelligent process management solutions.

- Collaborate with product and technology teams to enhance platform capabilities based on operational insights and business needs.

- Develop frameworks that enable employees to focus on higher-value analytical, compliance, and risk management activities.

2. Strategic Consulting & Client Advisory:

- Lead discovery workshops and strategic discussions with senior client stakeholders and executives.

- Develop transformation roadmaps, business cases, TCO models, and value realization frameworks.

- Identify operational challenges and recommend AI-driven solutions that deliver measurable business impact.

- Translate client requirements and market opportunities into actionable product and technology enhancements.

3. Change Management & Leadership:

- Drive organizational adoption of AI solutions and establish performance metrics and KPIs.

- Develop maturity frameworks for AI transformation programs.

- Provide thought leadership through industry insights, presentations, and executive-level engagements.

- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of transformation initiatives.

Required Skills:

1. Functional & Domain Skills:

- Deep understanding of banking technology, payments, financial services, or fintech ecosystems.

- Strong experience in business transformation, operational consulting, and process optimization.

- Expertise in developing business cases, value-stream assessments, and transformation strategies.

- Knowledge of banking operations including Fraud Management, AML, KYC, Disputes, and Risk functions.

2. Technology Skills:

- Strong understanding of AI, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning, and workflow automation.

- Ability to evaluate practical AI use cases and drive implementation initiatives.

- Experience working with enterprise technology and digital transformation programs.

3. Leadership & Consulting Skills:

- Executive stakeholder management and CXO engagement experience.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and business consulting skills.

- Proven ability to drive change management and organizational transformation initiatives.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in both banking technology and management consulting environments.

- Exposure to large-scale digital transformation programs within the BFSI sector.

- Experience creating executive-level presentations, transformation roadmaps, and strategic recommendations.

- Thought leadership experience, including whitepapers, industry presentations, and executive briefings.

- International client engagement experience, particularly with enterprise financial institutions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, Finance, or a related field.

- 8 to 14+ years of relevant experience in banking technology, fintech, digital transformation, management consulting, or related domains.

- Demonstrated experience leading strategic transformation and AI-driven business initiatives.

- Proven track record of working with senior business stakeholders and delivering business outcomes.
