Assistant Vice President - Project Finance

Job Role: AVP - Project Finance

Location: Mumbai

Key Responsibilities :

1. Credit Appraisal & Underwriting

- Evaluate detailed project finance proposals including sponsor credentials, feasibility, financial viability, DSCR analysis, and sensitivity modelling.

- Analyse project contracts (EPC, PPA, Concession Agreements) and regulatory frameworks.

- Prepare high- quality credit notes within defined TAT.

- Ensure alignment with credit policy and underwriting guidelines.

2. Risk Assessment & Portfolio Quality

- Identify risks including construction, offtake, regulatory, market, and funding risks.

- Recommend mitigants including structuring, covenants, and monitoring mechanisms.

3. Sector Research & Market Intelligence

- Track sector trends and benchmark assumptions.

- Evaluate regulatory changes and market reforms.

4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

- Coordinate with Relationship Teams, Legal, Consultants, and Risk.

- Support monitoring teams for periodic project reviews.

5. Governance & Process Adherence

- Ensure compliance with policies, RBI guidelines, and documentation standards.

- Meet audit, review, and renewal timelines.

Qualifications :

- Graduation / Post- Graduation (MBA, CA, CFA preferred).

- 6-10 years' experience in Project Finance underwriting or infrastructure credit assessment.

- Experience evaluating long- term, capital- intensive projects.
