Assistant Vice President - Product Control - Banking - CA

Role Overview:

Leading global banking and financial services organisation is seeking an Assistant Vice President - Product Control for its Global Markets finance function. The role will own P&L reporting and attribution, valuation controls, Independent Price Verification and Fair Value Adjustments across Global Markets products. The position will partner with trading, risk, audit and regulatory stakeholders, with exposure to regional projects and new product launches.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own P&L reporting, attribution and valuation controls across Global Markets products.

- Perform Independent Price Verification, Fair Value Adjustments and valuation reserve reviews in line with internal policies and accounting standards.

- Ensure compliance with control frameworks, accounting policies and regulatory requirements including IFRS 13 and Basel III.

- Partner with traders and stakeholders on valuation queries, financial insights, audits and regulatory reporting.

- Maintain robust documentation for valuation methodologies, controls and related policies.

- Support Product Control technology projects, User Acceptance Testing, new product launches and regional initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in Finance - Product Control within Global Markets.

- Strong knowledge of P&L processes, valuation principles and the Global Markets trade lifecycle.

- Exposure to multiple Global Markets asset classes and associated risk and control frameworks.

- Experience working across onshore and offshore stakeholder environments.

- Strong data analytics, digital transformation and large-data interpretation capabilities; familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage.

- Chartered Accountant - finance postgraduate with strong written and verbal communication skills.
