Overview:


We are partnering with a high-growth, multi-location organization to identify an accomplished procurement leader for the position of AVP Procurement, based at the corporate office in Bangalore.


This is a mission-critical leadership role that anchors procurement strategy, cost optimization, and inventory management across multiple business units and projects. The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and plays a central role in ensuring business continuity, cost governance, and supplier excellence at scale.


The Role:


This role directly influences the companys profitability, guest experience, and operational reliability across all existing and upcoming locations. The AVP Procurement will act as a strategic partner to the COO, transforming procurement from a cost center into a competitive advantage.


It offers a rare opportunity to lead procurement transformation for a scalable, customer-centric enterprise, ensuring that every unit from parks to resorts to projects operates with agility, efficiency, and integrity.


This role will define, implement, and oversee enterprise-wide sourcing strategies to ensure the seamless flow of materials, services, and supplies across operations, projects, and retail environments.


This leader will be accountable for driving cost efficiency, standardization, and compliance while building long-term supplier partnerships that support both operational reliability and future expansion initiatives.


Key Responsibilities


1. Strategic Procurement & Cost Leadership


- Develop and lead a centralized procurement strategy aligned with organizational objectives and sustainability priorities.


- Negotiate strategic contracts to deliver measurable cost savings and value creation.


- Establish category management frameworks across Engineering (MRO/Spare Parts), Retail, F&B, IT, Capex, Projects, and Admin.


- Drive analytics-led decision-making and continuous improvement in Spend per Head (SPH) and procurement KPIs.


2. Vendor & Contract Governance


- Identify, onboard, and manage suppliers across multiple locations, ensuring quality, compliance, and reliability.


- Institutionalize RFP/RFQ processes, tendering frameworks, and transparent contract renewals.


- Conduct supplier performance reviews and ensure adherence to ethical and audit-ready procurement practices.


3. Inventory & Stores Management


- Oversee multi-location store operations and central warehousing to ensure visibility and control of material flow.


- Drive material planning, consumption tracking, and waste minimization through data-led approaches.


- Ensure process discipline via cycle counts, reconciliations, and FIFO/FEFO compliance.


4. Project Procurement & Expansion


- Lead end-to-end procurement for new projects and upcoming locations, covering infrastructure, civil works, rides, furnishings, and utilities.


- Collaborate with Projects, Engineering, Finance, and Legal teams for budget control, delivery timelines, and compliance.


5. Systems, Compliance & Process Excellence


- Strengthen ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and digital workflows across all procurement and stores operations.


- Ensure adherence to company policies, tax regulations, and audit standards.


- Champion automation, analytics, and reporting to enhance process transparency and decision-making.


6. StakeholderManagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration


- Lead and develop a multi-location procurement and stores team, ensuring accountability and capability building.


- Partner closely with Operations, Finance, Projects, and Marketing teams to align procurement priorities with business growth plans.


Desired Candidate Profile:


- Education: Graduate / Postgraduate; MBA in Supply Chain or Operations preferred.


Experience: 1215 years in Procurement & Supply Chain, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing multi-location operations.


- Strong background in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and cost optimization.


- Exposure to sectors such as Hospitality, Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing, Or Telecom preferred.


- Proven ability to drive digital transformation in procurement through ERP and automation tools.


- Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and negotiation capabilities.
