About the Role:
We are looking for a strategic and analytical M&A professional to join our Corporate Development team. In this role, you will play a key part in identifying growth opportunities, executing domestic and international acquisitions, and driving the inorganic growth strategy for one of India's leading Fintech companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Sourcing & Evaluation: Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets, joint ventures, and strategic investment opportunities within the Fintech and broader financial services ecosystem.
- Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build complex dynamic financial models, including DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions. Perform detailed valuation of target companies.
- Due Diligence: Lead the end-to-end due diligence process (financial, legal, tax, and commercial) by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
- Transaction Execution: Assist in deal structuring, negotiation of term sheets, and definitive agreements (SHA/SPA). Manage the deal pipeline from 'Indication of Interest' to 'Closing'.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of Fintech trends, regulatory changes, and competitor moves to provide actionable insights to the leadership team.
- Post-Merger Integration (PMI): Support the integration office in ensuring a smooth transition and realization of synergies post-acquisition.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Must be a Chartered Accountant (CA) and hold an MBA (Finance) from a premier institute.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Development, or Big 4 Transaction Advisory (M&A).
- Fintech Knowledge: Strong understanding of payment systems, lending tech, or wealth-tech landscape is a massive plus.
- Analytical Rigor: Exceptional proficiency in MS Excel (Financial Modeling) and PowerPoint.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills, executive presence, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
