Position Details :
Role : AVP - Logistics
Tenure : Permanent and Full-Time
Location : New Delhi (Ghittorni)
Logistics & Transportation :
- Plan, manage and oversee all domestic and international transportation of artworks, exhibitions, publications and related materials.
- Oversee the movement, packing, crating, installation and transportation of artworks in accordance with museum and international conservation standards.
- Assess and recommend the most appropriate shipping methods, routing and carriers based on cost, timelines, security and conservation requirements.
- Coordinate and track interstate, intrastate and international shipments to ensure timely execution.
- Monitor logistics performance, delivery timelines, transportation costs and service quality.
- Work closely with Curatorial, Exhibitions, Collections, Restoration, Publications and Sales teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Vendor Management :
- Develop and maintain a strong network of domestic and international logistics and specialist fine-art service providers.
- Negotiate commercial terms and service agreements to achieve optimal cost, quality and reliability.
- Evaluate vendor performance and establish contingency arrangements to mitigate operational risks.
- Ensure all external partners operate in accordance with DAGs standards and values.
Compliance, Documentation & Risk Management :
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations relating to transportation, customs, GST, export-import requirements, insurance and cultural property movement.
- Maintain accurate shipping, customs and regulatory documentation for all domestic and international consignments.
- Coordinate insurance requirements, claims and incident reporting where required.
- Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Financial Management & Reporting :
- Monitor logistics expenditure and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising service standards.
- Prepare periodic MIS reports and operational updates for management review.
- Support budgeting and forecasting for logistics-related activities.
Skills Requirements :
- Strong operational and coordination capabilities.
- Knowledge of logistics, transportation and regulatory processes.
- Familiarity with museum-grade handling and conservation standards.
- Strong organizational and vendor management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines efficiently.
