Assistant Vice President - Litigation - NBFC

We have a role for a leading brand in NBFC based in Bangalore

Role Overview

Seeking a highly experienced and strategic litigation professional to join our legal team at the AVP level. The role will be responsible for managing and overseeing all litigation matters for the organization, ensuring effective legal representation, risk mitigation, and alignment with regulatory frameworks applicable to NBFCs.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Defend, manage and track cases filed against company and its group companies.

2.To empanel efficient and effective advocates for defending cases on behalf of company and its group companies

3.File police complaints and take out appropriate proceedings, file reply,rejoinder in court.

4.Manage cost of litigations and proceedings.

5.Create & implement an analytics framework to enhance ability to mitigate and manage litigations.

6.Take Effective defence in claims against company, filed by company & leading the evidence.

7.Clarifying customer queries raised and try to settle the issue out of court by explaining him the consequences of default / legal action taken by him and third party as the case may be.

8.Provide support on any action or issued faced by branch officials with police, regulatory or statutory authorities

9.Providing supportto Non-collection litigation related issues

10.Build strong relationship with regulatory, statutory, police, enforcement agencies & vendors

11.Build capability at branch level to deal with Non - Collection related litigations

12.Monitor the billing; bills generated across the location should be raised on monthly basis & no claim should stand pending for the services provided by vendors, lawyers.

13.Ensure adherence to culture with focus on integrity, discipline, teamwork (no silos) & care

14. Ensure strong corporate governance,regulatory compliance &adherence to management model.
