About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic technology leader for the role of Assistant Vice President - IT Operations. The role involves leading enterprise-wide IT infrastructure and operations across cloud and on-premise environments while ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience managing large-scale IT operations within IT Services, ITES, BPO, or KPO organizations and possess strong leadership capabilities in infrastructure management, IT governance, cloud technologies, cybersecurity coordination, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

- Define and execute IT infrastructure and operations strategy aligned with business objectives.

- Drive modernization initiatives including cloud adoption, automation, and digital transformation.

- Build scalable and resilient enterprise infrastructure environments.

IT Operations & Infrastructure Management:

- Lead day-to-day IT operations covering servers, storage, networks, cloud platforms, end-user computing, and enterprise systems.

- Ensure high availability, uptime, system reliability, and operational efficiency across all environments.

- Manage production, staging, and development infrastructure with minimal downtime.

- Oversee incident, problem, change, and asset management processes aligned with ITIL practices.

- Act as the escalation point for critical infrastructure and operational issues.

Cloud & Data Center Operations:

- Manage hybrid infrastructure environments across AWS, Azure, or GCP along with on-premise data centers.

- Lead infrastructure capacity planning, performance optimization, virtualization, and storage management.

- Drive disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, and execution.

Security & Compliance:

- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement enterprise security controls and proactive defense mechanisms.

- Ensure compliance with security standards, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.

- Strengthen infrastructure governance, data protection, and operational risk management.

Team & Vendor Management:

- Lead and mentor infrastructure, support, and operations teams.

- Foster a high-performance and collaborative work culture.

- Manage relationships with technology vendors, partners, and service providers.

- Drive operational efficiency and cost optimization initiatives.

Monitoring & Reporting:

- Implement monitoring and automation tools for proactive infrastructure management.

- Present operational dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports to senior leadership.

Required Skills & Expertise:

Infrastructure & Cloud:

- Strong expertise in enterprise IT infrastructure architecture and operations.

- Hands-on exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.

- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and cloud migration initiatives.

Network & Security:

- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, load balancers, and network security.

- Knowledge of security frameworks, intrusion prevention, and infrastructure hardening.

Server, Storage & Virtualization:

- Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, SAN/NAS storage environments, backup, and DR solutions.

- Expertise in high availability and business continuity environments.

Monitoring & Automation:

- Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or equivalent platforms.

- Exposure to automation and scripting tools including Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, or Python.

ITSM & Governance:

- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise IT service management.

- Experience working with ITSM platforms and governance frameworks such as ISO 27001.

End User Computing:

- Experience managing desktop support, endpoint management, VDI environments, and remote support technologies.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- 18+ years of overall IT experience with at least 10 years in leadership roles managing IT Operations or Infrastructure.

- Prior experience in IT Services, ITES, BPO, KPO, or similar high-scale environments is mandatory.

- Proven ability to manage large enterprise infrastructure environments and geographically distributed teams.

- Strong stakeholder management, decision-making, and leadership skills.

- Excellent communication and people management capabilities.
