Position Overview: The Head of Operations (BDM) will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of GGB India business for GCoE. Head of Operations will work closely with senior leadership of GGB India and GCoE to drive operational efficiency, growth, and ensure that GCoE & GGB India delivers high- quality services to clients while adhering to regulatory standards. This position is responsible for managing internal processes, improving operational effectiveness, overseeing teams, and ensuring that GCoE and GGB India meets its strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

- Oversee all day-to-day operations, including client servicing, claims management, policy placement, and underwriting processes.

- Implement operational processes and policies to enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize performance.

- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards set by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) and other local authorities.

Leadership & Team Management:

- Lead, manage, and mentor cross-functional teams to enhance performance and collaboration across the organization.

- Provide guidance and support to department heads, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

- Build a high-performing, customer-centric culture, promoting continuous development through training, feedback, and development programs.

Strategic Planning & Execution:

- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to define and implement the strategic goals and objectives.

- Identify and recommend improvements to operations, systems, and processes to support business growth and enhance operational productivity.

- Work closely with business development, sales, and marketing teams to ensure operational capabilities align with market demand and customer needs.

Client Relationship & Service Excellence:

- Ensure that the client servicing strategies align with customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

- Address and resolve escalated client concerns, ensuring timely and effective solutions.

Qualifications:

- Education:

- Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, or related field. MBA or equivalent is preferred.

- Professional certifications in insurance (e.g., IRDAI certification) would be advantageous.

- Experience:

- Minimum of 15 years of experience in operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in the insurance or financial services sector.

- Proven experience in managing and scaling operational functions within a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.

- In-depth knowledge of the Indian insurance industry, regulatory landscape, and market trends.

Reporting Line: The Head of Operations (BDM) will report Senior Business Leader GGB UK & EMEA and may work closely with the GGB India Senior Leadership Team.

This role is crucial to the operational success and growth of GCoEs GGB India Operations, helping to optimize its processes, increase efficiency, and maintain high levels of customer service in a highly competitive and regulated industry.
