Assistant Vice President - HR Operations - 10 + Years - Chennai

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Vice President - HR Operations to lead the end-to-end Hire-to-Retire HR Operations function, with a strong focus on salary negotiation, offer management, offer release and operational governance. The role requires exceptional negotiation and influencing skills, along with the ability to lead teams and deliver a seamless candidate and employee experience.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor the HR Operations team, driving a high-performance and service-oriented culture.

- Own the end-to-end offer process, including salary negotiation, fitment, approvals, offer drafting, release and acceptance closure.

- Manage compensation discussions while ensuring internal parity, budget governance and cost discipline.

- Lead the Hire-to-Retire journey, including documentation, background verification, pre-boarding and Day-1 readiness.

- Ensure compliance with employment laws, statutory requirements and internal governance.

- Drive HRMS automation, digitisation and process transformation across HR workflows.

- Partner with TA, Compensation & Benefits, Payroll and business stakeholders to deliver seamless HR operations.

Requirements:

- 10 - 14 years of progressive HR experience with strong hands-on expertise in HR Operations, Offer Management and Salary Negotiation.

- Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills - non-negotiable.

- Strong ownership of the offer and release stage.

- Experience in reputed GCC / Shared Services, BFSI or Technology organisations is preferred.

- Master's degree / MBA in HR or related discipline.

- Candidates based in Chennai within 20 - 22 km of the work location or willing to relocate.
