Job Description: Program Manager

Department: Chief Transformation Office (CTO)

Location: Mumbai

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

Our firm is a leading global financial institution. The Chief Transformation Office (CTO) is tasked with driving the most critical, strategic change initiatives across the organization. We are seeking an accomplished Vice President, Program Manager, to lead complex, high-impact transformation programs within our Wealth Management division.

This role requires a strategic leader with deep industry expertise, exceptional program management skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity to deliver end-to-end architectural and process overhaul. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating business vision into executable strategy, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful adoption of new capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership & Delivery:

- Lead end-to-end program execution for large-scale transformation initiatives, particularly Front-to-Back office architecture overhauls.

- Ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of all project deliverables.

Stakeholder Management:

- Lead engagements with senior stakeholders (including C-level executives) across business and technology functions.

- Build trust, understand needs, and provide strategic solutions.

Strategic Analysis & Design:

- Analyze complex current-state system and process flows.

- Work collaboratively with technology teams to design and document future-state strategic solutions that are efficient and scalable.

Governance & Framework:

- Establish and maintain robust program governance frameworks, including metrics, reporting (KPIs), risk management, and issue resolution protocols to ensure effective program control.

Business Development:

- Contribute to new business development activities, including proposal creation, by leveraging industry knowledge and existing executive relationships.

Change Management:

- Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies, including stakeholder assessment, communication plans, capability transfer, and end-user training to ensure smooth adoption.

Team Leadership & Mentorship:

- Provide oversight and guidance to high-performing project teams.

- Mentor team members, identify skill gaps, and champion opportunities for learning and upskilling.

Culture Champion:

- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, ethical conduct, and collaborative problem-solving, emphasizing organizational performance and growth.

Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge Required:

Experience:

- A minimum of 10 years of experience in management consulting or leading change programs within global investment banking.

- Proven track record as a Program Manager, with thorough expertise in both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.

Domain Expertise:

- Detailed understanding of Wealth Management functions, including:

- Investment Products, Lending Products

- Client Onboarding & Client Lifecycle Management

- Client Risk Profiling, Suitability Checks, and Investment Advisory

- Management Information (MI) & Reporting

- Sound knowledge of the standard trade lifecycle and financial products (e.g., cash equities, bonds, listed futures & options, loans).

Technical Knowledge (Preferred):

- Strong experience with the Avaloq Core Platform (preference for modules: STEX, Credit, Client Data, MIS reports, Stock Exchange, and payments). Avaloq certification is a significant advantage.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with PowerBI and Alteryx is highly preferred.

- Rigorous Attention to Detail: Commitment to high-quality standards in all documentation, processes, and control environments.

- Unbiased Collaboration: Ensures views are not biased, accepts diverse opinions, and collaborates effectively to create shared value.

Education & Certifications (Preferred):

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.

- An advanced degree (MBA, MSc) is a plus.

- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, PMP, Agile Scrum Master) are highly desirable.
