Assistant Vice President - Finance Operations

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic finance professional to lead and manage end-to-end Finance Back-Office Operations.

This is a leadership role requiring strong expertise in accounting processes, controls, and team management, along with the ability to drive process excellence and strategic initiatives.

Role Overview - As AVP - Finance Operations, you will oversee multiple accounting processes and teams, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial operations. You will play a critical role in strengthening internal controls, managing escalations, and partnering with leadership on key finance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Operations Management:

- Lead and manage end-to-end finance back-office operations

- Oversee accounting teams and ensure smooth functioning of processes

- Drive adherence to internal policies and governance frameworks

Transactional Processing:

- Supervise invoices, payments, expense claims, and fixed asset accounting

- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records

Process Improvement & Automation:

- Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements

- Drive automation and system enhancements (ERP/FinTech integrations)

Compliance & Controls:

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls

- Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors

- Handle audit queries and process validations

Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with Operations, Procurement, IT, and Sales teams

- Ensure seamless financial workflows across functions

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

- Postgraduate in Commerce / MBA (Finance)

Experience:

- 15+ years of relevant experience in finance & accounting

- Exposure to ERP implementation and process automation

- Experience in NBFC / E-commerce / FinTech environments preferred
