We are seeking a seasoned Assistant Vice President (AVP) - Finance & Accounting with deep expertise in US GAAP, US accounting standards, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), month-end close processes, taxation, and audit readiness for US-based entities or subsidiaries. Strong proficiency in SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and multi-GAAP reconciliations is critical for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
1. US GAAP & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure all financial operations adhere to US GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead multi-GAAP reconciliations (e.g., Indian GAAP to US GAAP).
- Drive the implementation and ongoing compliance of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management
- Oversee end-to-end AP/AR processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in billing, collections, and payments.
- Manage vendor and customer relationships, resolving escalations related to US transactions.
3. Month-End Close & Consolidation
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles in line with US reporting timelines.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements, including intercompany eliminations and adjustments.
4. Taxation & Regulatory Reporting
- Collaborate with US tax advisors on federal, state, and local tax filings.
- Ensure adherence to IRS regulations and support effective tax planning strategies for US operations.
5. Audit & Internal Controls
- Manage preparation for US statutory and internal audits.
- Maintain robust documentation for audit trails and ensure compliance with internal control frameworks.
6. Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and review US GAAP-compliant financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Deliver insights on financial performance, variance analysis, and forecasting to support decision-making.
7. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members, providing guidance on US accounting practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, compliance, and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (preferred), or MBA in Finance.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting with strong exposure to US GAAP.
- Solid understanding of US taxation, SEC reporting, and financial consolidation.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or QuickBooks.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
