Role Overview
Our client is looking for an AVP Engineering to lead the technology strategy, architecture, and delivery of a scalable, multi-tenant SaaS mobility platform. This role requires a strong balance of hands-on technical depth, people leadership, and platform ownership, working closely with Product and Business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Own engineering strategy, roadmap, and execution across core platform modules
- Architect and scale cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS systems on AWS
- Drive adoption of microservices and event-driven architecture using Kafka, SQS, SNS
- Provide technical leadership in Node.js / NestJS, and guide frontend development using React and Flutter
- Lead monolith-to-microservices migrations and database modernization
- Ensure high standards for code quality, security, scalability, and cost optimization
- Build, mentor, and manage high-performing teams across Backend, Frontend, DevOps, and QA
- Partner with DevOps to enable CI/CD, Kubernetes (EKS), IaC (Terraform/Ansible)
- Oversee integrations with ERP systems, OEM telematics, CIAM, and third-party APIs
- Drive AI/ML initiatives for analytics, optimization, and platform intelligence
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering and leadership roles
- Proven experience scaling multi-tenant SaaS platforms
- Deep expertise in Node.js / NestJS, AWS, Microservices
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, Terraform/Ansible
- Experience with Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB
- Strong understanding of observability (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Ability to balance execution speed with long-term architecture
- Preferred Experience in EV mobility, fleet tech, logistics, or IoT
- Exposure to AI/ML, telematics, or carbon analytics
